Kevin Mason, Intergraph’s Senior Industry Specialist, Utilities and Communication, Australia, will present “Case Study for Geospatially Enabling Infrastructure Management Processes” at this year’s Energy Networks Association Conference at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Center in Brisbane. The conference will be held 30 April – 2 May.

Kevin’s presentation will highlight topics such as staff retention, an aging workforce, and the associated retention of business knowledge – all critical issues for utilities and communications companies worldwide.  It impacts both profitability and risk.

Aging infrastructure requires growth in the workforce, and a growing workforce is less efficient.   Additionally, if a workforce cannot grow, and the work cannot be completed, utilities risk increased asset failure, which ultimately increases operational costs and could result in regulator penalties.

Find out how utilities are adapting to minimize the impacts from workforce changes and achieving the following benefits:

  • Retention of corporate knowledge
  • Improved data availability and quality
  • Business process efficiency gains leading to a reduction in the number of personnel required per task
  • Reduced hidden costs through consistent workforce practices
  • Improved workforce safety

Make sure you come hear Kevin’s presentation!
